Randi Hutchins

Calm, competent and compassionate, Randi weaves a special kind of kindergarten magic –  a welcoming, grounding space where kindergarteners are celebrated as individuals, and come to recognize and cherish their role as a class and in a greater community. The kindergarten room is bright and creative, with plenty of room for learning, sharing, friendships, exuberant silliness –  and the very important business of play.

Randi works closely with fellow teachers and assistants in our K-2 pod to integrate kindergarteners and their families into the the seasons and traditions of the school, including them in the wonder of special themes and projects.

Originally from Colorado, Randi grew up in the small ski town of Winter Park and studied sculpture and Art Education at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. She likes being outdoors, and enjoys hiking around and swimming in Lake Washington.

Randi loves to travel and is always planning her next trip. She has recently been sighted circumnavigating Ireland with teachers Josie and Emily, her co-conspirators in the K-2 pod!
