Judy has been an educator for over twenty-five years, focusing on parent education since 2016. As a Parent Educator with North Seattle College, she worked at several co-op preschools and homeless shelters in Seattle. Judy has taught preschoolers through adults in many different settings. She has taught Roots of Empathy in elementary schools, coached high schoolers in writing, and taught Constitutional Law to college students. Judy is a certified Positive Discipline Instructor and has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Washington. She is passionate about children’s social-emotional development and is excited to help parents through their child-rearing journey.

Outside the classroom, Judy writes poetry and fiction, and she enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and taking photographs in the beautiful Northwest. She lives in Seattle with her wife, Diana, her teenagers, Sebastian and Sofi, and her very curly pup, Barney.
