I was raised in the Finger Lakes region of New York, where there are beautiful waterfalls and gorges, but not nearly enough places to go dancing! I received my B.A. in English from Cornell University, with a concentration in poetry. Before moving to Seattle in 2020, and joining the UCoop family as an assistant teacher, I worked as a bookkeeper for the Finger Lakes Land Trust. I continue to do bookkeeping part-time for Seattle-based businesses and non-profit organizations. Some of my favorite hobbies include dressing colorfully, freestyle dancing, and visiting bakeries and antique shops. I am passionate about using literary and visual arts as vehicles to support children in their exploration and empowerment. I hope to always be working with kids, no matter where I go!
