Intermediate/3-5 Program

During the intermediate years, our project-oriented curriculum, coupled with rigorous instruction in the basics, stimulates curiosity and love of learning while challenging all students. Art, science, Spanish, music, and physical education are key components of our weekly schedule, along with basic instruction in handwriting, math and reading. Environmental education is folded into the core curriculum through field trips, science, writing, and art projects. Children grow their research and presentation skills in a warm, supportive environment through a poetry festival, a Shakespeare play and other special events. Students learn self-organizing skills through weekly homework assignments and larger scale projects based on their own passions.
